Yaps support

Yes. Dictation, text cleanup, read-aloud, and notes can run directly on your device after setup. Signing in, billing, sync, and optional online features require an internet connection.

Yaps is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android, with iOS coming soon. You can find the latest system requirements on our download page.

Core speech processing is designed to run locally on your device. Depending on the feature and settings you choose, optional online features may use an encrypted connection.

Open the Yaps app and use the same email address you entered when purchasing. The website and app use the same account, so you do not need to create another one.

Open our connection test. It checks whether this device can reach the Yaps sign-in service without accessing your account or sending an email code. If the connection is blocked, it gives you exact instructions to share with your IT administrator.

Sign in to your Yaps account and choose “Manage billing.” You can cancel your subscription there, and your access will continue until the displayed end date.

Share your Yaps referral code with a friend. When they sign up with it and start Pro or Max, you both earn one free month of Yaps. Referral rewards can stack for up to 12 months.

Yes. On desktop, Yaps works system-wide in text fields across your other apps. On Android, use the Yaps keyboard anywhere you would normally type.

First check that Yaps is using the correct microphone and language. Speak reasonably close to the microphone, reduce background noise where possible, and install any available Yaps updates.
