Features
The whole Yaps suite, in your pocket. Dictation is the start. Notes, read-aloud, useful upgrades, and a dashboard that tracks the minutes you save — all in one app.
01 · Notes Capture a thought, before it’s gone. Hold the dictation button, speak for as long as you need. Yaps files it away with a title, tags, and full-text search.

The case for slow voice
A dictation tool that tries to match your speed will always feel rushed. Slow down the model, let the user talk like they actually talk.
03 · Yaps Store Upgrades, on demand. Flip new features on as your work changes. New voice capabilities every few weeks, all on the same on-device stack — no ads, no trackers.

04 · Dashboard See the time you got back. Every dictation is counted, timed, and compared against the typing you’d otherwise have done. Streaks, weekly minutes saved, per-app usage.

Quick answers. Which Android versions are supported? Android 10 and newer. We test against the top-selling Pixel and Samsung devices each release; older Android versions may install but aren’t officially supported.
Does it work offline? Yes. Everything runs on-device. Voice typing, glide typing, autocorrect, and the cleanup pass all happen on the phone’s own chip. Your words never leave the device.
Do I need a Mac too? No — Yaps for Android works on its own. But if you do have a Mac, the
Mac app uses the same account and the same vocabulary, so corrections you make on one device carry over.
Which languages are supported? Yaps supports more than 20 languages and automatically recognises the language you speak, so you do not have to switch before dictating.
Will the Yaps keyboard replace Gboard? You can set Yaps as your default keyboard or keep Gboard alongside and switch when you want voice. Android lets you have multiple keyboards installed at once and pick per app.
